Student Clubs

The Hisar School Clubs Program is designed in line with our school’s mission to help students discover and develop their potential in areas of interest appropriate to their age and developmental stage. All students participate in the Clubs Program during school hours.

In addition to providing students with opportunities to explore and develop their interests, our clubs foster teamwork, critical thinking, a global perspective, creativity, and an awareness of community service. Students are encouraged to develop, present, and take ownership of their own projects within their clubs.

At the high school level, students are encouraged to establish their own clubs in areas of interest. With the support of a faculty mentor, students develop valuable skills in team building, collaboration, planning, and organization through managing their clubs. Student-led clubs are therefore an important part of our high school experience. By developing and leading their own projects, students also have opportunities to explore their interests and shape their future academic and university pathways.

Club Selection Process

Each May, existing clubs are reviewed through club evaluation and expectation surveys shared with students and families. These surveys provide insight into students’ and families’ experiences with current clubs and expectations for the following academic year. The clubs for the upcoming year are determined through a comprehensive planning process that brings together school priorities and survey results. The new Clubs Program is then shared with students and families during the first week of school and made available for students to select.

Students in Preschool and Grade 1 do not select their own clubs. Beginning in Grade 2, all students select their clubs through our online Club Selection Portal.
