At Hisar School, the safety and well-being of our students, staff, and visitors is our highest priority. As part of our commitment to a secure learning environment, we have established a Lockdown Procedure to respond effectively to potential threats. This procedure outlines clear measures and protocols to ensure a coordinated and efficient response in situations that require restricting access and visibility within the school.
A lockdown is implemented to safeguard the school community by preventing unauthorized access and minimizing exposure to potential risks. This may involve restricting movement, securing all entry points, and ensuring that students and staff remain in designated safe
areas. The goal is to contain and manage any internal or external threats swiftly, reliably, and effectively.
Our Lockdown Procedure details the steps to be taken before, during, and after a lockdown situation. It defines the
responsibilities of all stakeholders—including students, parents, academic and administrative staff, external suppliers, and guests participating in school activities—emphasizing that following these protocols is a shared responsibility for the safety of all.
Lockdowns are categorized based on the level of risk, ensuring appropriate actions are taken depending on the situation.
These levels include:
- Precautionary Lockdown, where movement is restricted as a preventivemeasure,
- Partial Lockdown, in which access to certain areas is controlled while normal activities continue in secure locations,
- Full Lockdown, which requires an immediate and complete restriction of movement until authorities confirm the situation is safe.
To enhance preparedness, Hisar School conducts regular training and drills for students and staff, ensuring that everyone understands lockdown protocols and can respond effectively in an emergency. We also maintain clear communication channels to keep parents and guardians informed.
Beyond immediate lockdown measures, Hisar School continuously invests in security infrastructure, including surveillance systems, emergency communication tools, and reinforced access controls.
