MIT Edgerton Center & Hisar FabLab Bootcamp Program

From June 11–13, 2026, an intensive three-day Bootcamp Program was held at Hisar FabLab in collaboration with the MIT Edgerton Center. Serving as the first step in a long-term academic partnership between Hisar School and the MIT Edgerton Center, the program provided students with hands-on experience in engineering design, digital fabrication, rapid prototyping, and teamwork. Throughout the program, students developed solutions to real-world challenges through an experiential learning approach.

Hosted at Hisar FabLab, Türkiye’s first and only Fab Academy Node, the program enabled students to approach design, production, and presentation processes through an integrated perspective while developing their own projects. In addition to gaining experience with advanced manufacturing technologies, students had the opportunity to strengthen their interdisciplinary collaboration and creative problem-solving skills. Beyond product development, the program supported students in planning problem-solving processes, evaluating design decisions, revising their work based on feedback, and reflecting on their learning experiences, thereby enhancing their metacognitive awareness.
