Hisar High School Education
With the strong academic program we offer at the high school level, our extracurricular activities, and our experienced staff, we support our students in gaining admission to the universities of their choice and guide them toward success and happiness in life based on their talents and skills.
At Hisar High School, our primary goal is to prepare our students in the best possible way for both university and life. Hisar High School offers a five-year education program, including a preparatory year followed by four years of high school. In our high school, science and mathematics courses, as well as some electives, are offered in English. Our graduates enter society as individuals with strong character, equipped with a solid academic foundation, and fluent in English as if it were their native language.
Strong Preparatory Program
The Hisar High School Preparatory Program is a one-year academic program designed to prepare students for high school life, with a primary focus on English language instruction. The 20-hour-per-week English curriculum provides a student-centered learning environment that integrates essential 21st-century skills such as leadership, collaboration, independent learning, and life skills.
Students who transfer to Hisar High School from other schools join our fully interactive and technologically integrated preparatory program to improve their English proficiency. Through project-based learning, students develop autonomous learning habits and, thanks to our rich curriculum, enhance the skills and values they will use throughout their lives—empowering them as effective 21st-century citizens. By the end of the year, students reach the advanced level of English proficiency required by our high school.
The AP program is a training program developed and implemented by the College Board. It is practiced and recognized in more than 60 countries in addition to the USA. The program provides students with the opportunity to take university-level courses while in high school and to be exempted from these courses at some universities. In addition to the Ministry of National Education (MEB) program, our students are supported by our AP Program to be successful in AP exams. Our school is an AP exam center and our students have the opportunity to take their exams at our school.

The Goal Is Not Only University, But a Successful Life
Today, high academic skills, knowledge, and a contemporary education alone are no longer sufficient for leading a successful life. Individuals must know themselves well, clearly define their goals, and progress toward them with a well-rounded personality, making thoughtful choices from among a wide range of opportunities through careful planning and organization.
In line with these goals, all students at Hisar High School are guided according to their unique talents and abilities. Our University Preparation and Career Planning Center works individually with each high school student starting from grade 9, providing guidance and support for university preparation and long-term career planning. Our students benefit from a wide range of programs conducted in coordination with both domestic and international counselors. Since graduating our first class in 2008, Hisar students have gained admission to numerous prestigious universities in Turkey and abroad, based on their individual goals, interests, and achievements.
Informed Career Orientation Through Elective Courses
Grades 9 and 10, as in all high schools in Turkey, are common years during which students take courses from all core subject areas. Beginning in grade 11, students select both core and elective courses based on their career interests, talents, and preferences, as well as the opportunities offered by the school. This allows them to pursue a high school education that supports their professional orientation and develops their individual skills and interests.
