Welcome. Our preschool program is designed with a holistic approach that supports every child’s development and promotes the growth of 21st-century skills through active learning. The program is structured in alignment with the curriculum of the Ministry of National Education (MoNE) and fully embraces its principles of skill-based, child-centered, and developmentally appropriate education.
The daily schedule encourages children to think critically, ask questions, take initiative, follow through on their plans, and reflect on their actions. Hisar School provides a comprehensive early childhood education experience that is supported by carefully designed physical learning environments, consistent daily routines, positive teacher-child interactions, meaningful family engagement, and a structured approach to program assessment.
Maintaining an ideal teacher-child ratio allows for consistent one-on-one interactions that support meaningful learning experiences. These relationships support children’s growing independence and help them become confident, goal-oriented, decision-making, and problem-solving individuals.
Our experienced and qualified teaching team continuously improves both their professional competencies and the quality of the program through long-term, national and international professional development opportunities supported by the school. Daily collaboration, as well as interdisciplinary work across grade levels, ensures consistency in both program implementation and individualized support for each child. The strong sense of support and trust within the team is reflected in their relationships with students, helping children begin their learning journey with confidence, curiosity, and joy.

The Hisar School Preschool Program is structured in alignment with the curriculum of the Republic of Türkiye Ministry of National Education (MEB). The MEB program’s emphasis on developmental continuity, values-based education, respect for individual differences, and a skills-oriented approach forms the foundation of our preschool education philosophy. At our school, the learning outcomes and competencies outlined in this model are integrated into every aspect of the program—from daily routines and activity planning to assessment processes and the design of learning environments.
Enriched through a variety of educational approaches, our program prioritizes children’s developmental needs and aims to foster both academic and social skills through active learning. It offers learning experiences that nurture children’s natural curiosity and are grounded in inquiry and exploration. This approach reflects an educational philosophy that goes beyond the transmission of knowledge, encouraging children to think, investigate, and create.

The Psychological Counseling and Guidance Center conducts preventive and supportive programs to identify and address students’ social, emotional, and cognitive developmental needs. This includes classroom observations, teacher consultations, guidance lessons, and individual or group counseling sessions to support both students and educators. The center also develops student growth plans, monitors progress, and provides guidance to teachers accordingly.
The Psychological Counseling and Guidance Center aims to help students develop self-awareness, emotional resilience, and healthy social relationships. With a holistic and preventive approach, it fosters a positive school climate that supports both academic and personal growth.
Our field trips are categorized into on-campus and off-campus experiences, designed to help preschool students explore their surroundings, engage in hands-on learning, and connect academic knowledge with real-life experiences.
As an integral part of the preschool curriculum, field trips are planned around various themes to support different learning areas:
Nature Excursions & Outdoor Activities – Organized to allow children to immerse themselves in nature, make observations, and develop environmental awareness.
Cultural & Artistic Trips – Visits to museums, theaters, art galleries, and historical sites support students’ artistic and cultural development.
Science & Discovery-Themed Trips – Explorations at science centers, observatories, and hands-on learning environments encourage children to investigate, experiment, and enhance their inquiry skills.
To encourage students to explore different interests, develop creativity, and gain new experiences, a dedicated club hour is held once a week. Throughout the year, students participate in rotating club activities across eight different areas, supporting their holistic development.
With a diverse range of activities, from ceramics to coding, yoga to board games, students have the opportunity to discover their individual talents and acquire new skills. This experience enriches their learning journey, contributing to both their academic and social development.

In our early childhood education program, skill-based assessment and evaluation practices are conducted holistically and concurrently with the learning process, differing from traditional approaches.
Assessment in early childhood education is primarily based on observations and anecdotal records. To monitor the individual development of our students, observation forms are regularly completed at set intervals.
Based on these observations, development reports are prepared and shared with families at the end of each semester. In addition, individual portfolios are compiled to document the students’ learning journeys. Each year, a portfolio presentation is held, during which children take on the role of narrator to present their own learning processes. This practice helps them develop the ability to evaluate and share their growth.
To monitor students’ developmental domains, individual inventories are conducted. Based on the results, individual development plans are prepared in collaboration with the guidance department and classroom teachers. This process is designed to ensure that each child is supported and encouraged to progress in the areas where they need it most.
To ensure effective communication with parents, weekly academic updates are shared through Google Classroom bulletins. These bulletins include students’ weekly experiences, upcoming topics, and important reminders, enabling parents to actively engage in their child’s learning process and closely follow their development.
Throughout the year, individual meetings with homeroom teachers, specialist teachers, and the psychological counselor are conducted online. Additionally, General Parent Meetings are held twice a year, at the end of the first and third quarters, in a face-to-face format to provide school-wide updates and discussions.
